Speaking

Leadership doesn’t break because of people. It breaks when the system stops doing its job.

I work with organizations, boards, and leadership teams to surface what’s actually getting in the way and help them move forward with more clarity, alignment, and less friction.

KEYNOTE

When the System Stops Carrying the Work

When leadership changes, board dynamics shift, or alignment breaks down across the board and executive team, the systems that normally provide clarity around decision-making, authority, and direction start to weaken.

Decisions get revisited.
Roles start to blur.
Expectations shift depending on the conversation.

And when that happens, the system stops doing its job.

But the work of holding things together does not disappear. It shifts.

And in many cases, that work is absorbed by individuals who are expected to stabilize teams, re-explain decisions, manage relationships, and carry accountability for outcomes they do not fully control.

These situations are often labeled as “people problems.”

But what’s actually happening usually has very little to do with the people. It’s a system that isn’t carrying what it should.

WHAT AUDIENCES TAKE AWAY

  • How to recognize when “people problems” are actually system breakdowns

  • Where decision-making, authority, and context are not being carried consistently

  • Why work shifts informally across boards and leadership teams

  • What creates clarity, continuity, and shared accountability in practice

ADDITIONAL FORMATS

In addition to keynotes, I also lead:

  • Executive workshops and leadership sessions

  • Board and senior team retreats

  • Facilitated discussions on leadership, governance, and organizational dynamics

Each session is tailored to the organization and designed to create space for honest conversation and forward movement.
