Leadership Continuity Assessment

Identify the gaps that could make your next leadership transition harder than it needs to be.

Leadership transitions can expose problems that weren't obvious before someone left. Important knowledge may live with one person, decision-making authority may be unclear, or the organization may depend too heavily on a small number of leaders.

The Leadership Continuity Assessment is a short self-assessment that helps boards and senior teams look at how well their organization is prepared for leadership change. It focuses on four areas: clarity, organizational knowledge, decision-making, and leadership capacity.

The tool doesn't produce a score or benchmark. Instead, it helps identify where perspectives differ and where the organization may need to do more to prepare for a transition.

About the Assessment

The Leadership Continuity Assessment was developed by Alison Teitelbaum of AST Strategies and reflects 20 years of experience working with boards and leadership teams navigating complexity, growth, and change.
